The Headquarters of AOC cooperated with a famous Chinese Twitter influencer, @torontobigface, to experiment with a more interactive form of commemoration on this year’s June 4th anniversary. Fengsuo Zhou and Lin Jiang, eyewitnesses of the June 4th massacre, were invited to give speeches.
Later, Wester Yang, spokesperson of AOC, was invited to give a speech at another event organized in front of the Chinese Consulate. In the evening, he and other members of AOC participated in yet another commemoration organized by Federation For a Democratic China. AOC’s branches in Montreal and Halifax also held their own activities as expected.
