On May 13, 2023, Wester Yang, President of the Assembly of Citizens, and Mr. Zhou Fengsuo, a famous Chinese pro-democratic activist who currently lives in the United States, held a commemorative event.
On behalf of the Assembly of Citizens, President Yang presented an original newspaper of the famous “April 26 Editorial” published by the People’s Daily on April 26, 1989 to the June 4th Memorial Centre in New York.
President Yang expressed his gratitude to Mr. Zhou Fengsuo for coming all the way from the United States to participate in the activities with the Assembly of Citizens.
